|April 8-9||17th Annual Okanagan Fest-of-Ale
Every April, brew masters from across the Pacific Northwest load up a selection of their finest ales and converge in Penticton to tap their kegs for microbrew enthusiasts. For twenty dollars, plus the cost of your samples, thirsty festival-goers can try a wide variety of traditional beers, like lagers and porters, as well as more unusual ales bearing mouth-watering descriptions that boast of bananas, cloves, cherries and chocolate.
|May 12-13||Outrigger race: "Duel in the Desert" on Skaha Lake.
Penticton Racing Canoe Club hosts two major race events per year: Duel in the Desert - an early season six-man and small boat race, and the Length of the Lake 100 km Ultra-Paddle race - one of the longest single day races in North America.
|Mid-May||15th Annual Meadowlark Festival
The Meadowlark Festival is an annual opportunity to discover, experience and explore the natural beauty and diversity of the South Okanagan and Similkameen Valleys. During the festival you will have the opportunity to visit areas from Canada's only desert near Osoyoos to sub-apline meadows high above Okanagan Lake. Choose from over 90 events and tours. Tickets go on sale April 19. The Meadowlark Festival takes place mid May each year.
|May 26-28||10th Annual Okanagan International Children's Festival
The Children's Festival features the world's finest musicians, dancers, actors, acrobats, comedians and storytellers! This international celebration of the arts stimulates global awareness and an appreciation of cultural diversity in Penticton. It is an opportunity to delight in the world of imagination and open the door to creative possibilities for our children. Featuring Main Stage Perfomers: Charlotte Diamond, the Marnie Grey Band, Ache Brasil, Taiwan's National School of Acrobats, Jamie Adkins, Michel Lauziere and the Silly people from Kitchener. A new dance and drama improv tent, Move 'n Groove, has been added and the visual arts, Aboriginal village and the science tent have all expanded. It will be an educational and entertaining festival.

Over the years we have welcomed literally thousands of bridge players to this tournament. We’re just an easy stroll away from the Trade & Convention Centre and in one of the best locations in Penticton, right on Okanagan Beach.
|June 24-28||11th Annual Penticton Pacific N.W. Elvis Festival
Penticton will be all shook up with lively performances by tribute artists plus some big name headliners during the annual Elvis Festival. The festival will take place at various venues throughout Penticton, including Okanagan Lake Park and the Penticton Trade and Convention Centre. The three-day hip shaker will feature pancake breakfasts, food & refreshment vendors, and a fabulous Sunday morning gospel show.
|August 3-7||64th Annual Penticton Peach Festival
The Peach Festival has been a summer tradition in Penticton for 64 years. Taking place from August 3 to 7, 2011, the Penticton Peach Festival features a whirlwind week of free family entertainment at Okanagan Lake Park, a pancake breakfast, sandcastle competitions, music concerts, one of BC's largest parades, a kiddies parade, food vendors, crafts and much more, including our annual Square Dance Festival. Fun for the whole family!
|August 28||30th Annual Ironman Canada Triathlon in Penticton
Penticton is the proud host to the Annual Subaru Ironman Canada Triathlon, where thousands of athletes and volunteers line the streets every August to participate or support this international event. The Ironman Canada Triathlon will be on August 28th.
Participants will test their strength and endurance by swimming 2.4 mi (3.8 km), biking 112 mi (180 km) and running 26.2 mi (42.2 km). Ironman Canada is not for the faint at heart.
It's where serious athletes come to compete and push themselves to the max! This year, come out and show your support as the world's best athletes compete in the Ironman Canada Triathlon in Penticton. It's an experience you won't soon forget!

|September 9-11||16th Annual Pentastic Hot Jazz Festival
This Penticton event takes place from September 9 to 11. The Pentastic Hot Jazz Festival offers three days of entertainment with top bands playing acoustic swing, big band, Bad Boys of Dixieland, traditional Cajun and Zydeco from Canada and the US. Events can be enjoyed at five hip and intimate venues around Penticton. Free shuttle transportation service for ticket holders.
|October 7-8||32th Annual Okanagan Fall Wine Festival
The Annual Okanagan Fall Wine Festival is an experience for all who love fabulous wine accompanied by great food and unique wine-themed events. Autumn in Okanagan Valley Wine Country is the perfect time to watch the grapes ripen in the sun and indulge in the harvest celebrations. This is the only wine festival in North America that takes place during the heart of grape harvest.
During this wine festival, experience vineyard tours, lunches, dinners, special tastings and several other great wine events, that all take place during the fall grape harvest - there is no better way to visit Okanagan Wine Country.
